The Square Lake Festival offered discounted admission to attendees will travel to the festival by bike. Your discount is based on the distance that you bike to the event.
If you would like to bike from the Twin Cities to the festival and receive up to 75% off your admission fee, please register and pay by 11:59 PM Thursday August 13th, 2009. If you bike from Stillwater or Marine on St. Croix area, your discount is 50%, and the registration due date has also been extended to August 13th.
Minneapolis bikers will meet at the HUB Bike COOP, 3020 Minnehaha Ave South, at 9:30 AM and depart at 10AM on Saturday the 15th. Peace Coffee's bio-diesel sag wagon will be on hand to carry camping gear for registered riders.
St. Paul bikers will meet at the Sibley Bike Depot, 712 University Avenue St. Paul, at 10 AM and depart at approximately 10:30 AM when the Mpls bikers arrive. Summit will be on hand to transport camping gear for St. Paul bikers.
Stillwater riders will meet at The Bikery, 904 4th St. Stillwater, at 11 AM and take a non-direct route to the festival grounds and arrive at 1PM when the festival gate opens. Olivier Vrambout, owner of The Biker, will be your ride steward.
Marine on St. Croix bikers are on your own!
*In order to receive the 75% or 50% biker discount on your admission to the festival, you MUST register online, pay the $5 fee per biker ($10 from Stillwater/Marine), and bike to the event. Bikers who arrive to the festival gate and have not pre-registered for the ride cannot be granted reduced admission.
If, after paying the biker registration, you decide to drive from Mpls/St. Paul to the event, just pay the remaining $10. You still receive the online admission of $15 since you pre-registered.
-You may register multiple riders. Just make sure you list all the names. Also, please state whether you will have gear for the Peace Coffee or Summit sag wagon in the "note" area of your Paypal payment."
After you've submitted your registry payment, you'll be signed up for the ride. We'll contact you before the event to confirm ride status and provide any last minute information.
-Volunteer ride stewards with basic bike repair supplies will accompany the riders.
